Remember the 1/8 scale Nijihara Ink by Kotobukiya I got late last year? The adorable girls of "Moe-tan", Nijihara Ink and Pastel Ink finally got a series of nice capsule figurines planned by Movic and produced by CM's with much ravings from fans all over. What a great way to allow Japanese otakus to learn English with the pleasure of the "Moe"-filled duo to guide them through. |

パステルペイント!The main attraction of this set presents Nijihara Ink losing balance on a mini ladder as she tried to paint the wooden planks on the backdrop with pastel paint. The entire vignette is beautifully designed and been sculpted and painted in equally splendid fashion. I can really feel the motion of the toppling effect and adore the way the paint buckets been spilled. It is most hilarious to see the duck been splashed with the blue paint. The only bad sculpt in this piece is the legs of the ladder which I have a hard time fixing it up. Regarding Nijihara, the hair is evident shorter than the Kotobukiya version but I like way the hair is painted.

マジカルティーチャー登場!The appearance of the 2nd character in the "Moe-tan" series, Pastel Ink, here gliding against the over-sized practice card. This is the 1st of 3 vignettes using the over-sized practice cards as backdrop. I never got that Kotobuikya's Pastel ink to compliment my 1/68 Nijihara Ink, so this is the only Pastel Ink's figurine in my collection. In fact this is the only Pastel Ink in this set which signifies the role she plays altogether. I really like her attire (not the revealing part though). The head-dress, the ribbons and the shoes are all nice features. The practice cards are very real in which the binder is movable.

風邪ひきさん全開モードです.There's an Animate-exclusive blue variant for this piece in which Nijihara Ink is down with flu (but who asked her to remove her clothing as such in the 1st place?) Beside appeasing the lolita -pedophilic fans, I can't think of a reason why this piece is been conjured up. Check out the wordings on the card, couldn't be much more truer. I do like the overall sculpt for this piece though.

のんびりピクニック.Another wonderfully-crafted diorama vignette showing Nijihara & her duck companion having a free & easy picnic. Both of them sure would be savoring their "onigiri" very much. The details in this piece is impeccable from the schoolbag to the onigiri to the wooden fence to the tumbler & sandwiches in the basket are all nicely done. I love the duck with mouth opened wide as well as the bashful looking Nijihara and her attire especially the shoes.

変身できない!?The concluding piece is one with Nijihara Ink kneeling beside the duck as she wonder how come she can't change.. change into what? Kamen Rider? Anyway in this piece I feel is when Nijihara looks the best especially the facial sculpt. I'm not too sure though whether is she scratching her forehead or wiping her eyes. The duck looks adorable as well as he ponders for Nijihara as well.
