The 2nd part of the Kamen Rider Imagination series comes in half a year later than its predecessor (usual case), and featured the newest rider on the block, Kamen Rider Hibiki (響鬼). But the show is going to be stolen by another recent Kamen Rider here. |

V3パンチ!(V3 Punch!)Kamen Rider V3 gave the creepy looking Gamma Boiler a hard punch which sent the latter to the other end of universe. This piece has a nice design which tells the story splendidly on itself. The sculptor made use of size of Gamma in relation with V3 in front to significantly highlight the power of the punch. I really like the sculpt of V3 and he has a distinct grass-hopper like mask. Gamma Boiler didn't look too intimidating and some might find him cute but what's with the bloodied circles round his eyes. You will see a part of Gamma been punched out of his body, delivered on a streak of smoke but it had problem connecting both V3 and the chest of Gamma due to the sculpt of the base and backdrop.

電キック!! (Denki Kick!!)Took me quite a while to figure out the construct of the electrical base in this piece but once the key is inserted into the lock, everything just flows smoothly. I love everything about Stringer: the cool "Denki Kick" which is firmly embedded onto the top of the base, the pose, the scarf and way electricity is exuding out of his "S" logo on his suit. Menme (which means face of eyes) Titan is a creepy looking fellow and the paintjob really did well with the main eye which shows the flesh area at the bottom which give me goose bumps just by looking at it.

大空の決戦 (Duel of The Great Sky)Skyrider is perhaps the only Kamen Rider with the ability to soar in the sky and you can see here the red scarf resembles the prominent wings of a ladybug. Therefore there is many aerial battles to be engaged with enemies with the ability to fly like Koumoru-jin (literally translated as Bat-like Man) here. Koumoru reminds me a bit of Manbat in One Coin's Batman ~Season 2~ but the fangs look frightening. Skyrider's pose looks pretty good and the sculpt overall is satisfactory. The base which depicts cloud looks more like ocean waves.

バーニング! (Burning!)Kamen Rider Agito is perhaps the only KR series I had watched from the beginning to the end. Beside having 3 cool riders, the show also boasts a splendidly designed "unknown" as seen here, the benevolent Eru of Water (水のエル). This vignette wonderfully portrayed the epic clash of the 2 elements as seen in the series, the burning flame of Agito against the ice-cold water of Eru. I really like the pose of Agito (who is in his final form) while the design of Eru is thoroughly impressive including the arms, the angel-like wings and the whale-like tale. The beautiful base further amplify the significance of the clash of the two.

音撃乱舞 (The Wild Dance of Attacking Vibration)Some may find the ideal of the Kamen Rider gang of 2005 a bit dubious, making use of some traditional musical instruments to battle their enemies; but supporters of Hibiki would claim that it is perhaps the most original series ever with some strong influence of music. Here we see Hibiki aggressively whacking the main segment of the creature known as ツチグモ (which means Hammer Spider). Hibiki actually looks good with the dark purple color of his suit been lighted by the flame of his drumming on the back of Tsuchigumo. It's not difficult to piece the various legs of the spider to the actual locations but the parts' connection to the main body is way too flimsy to my liking.

3 & a half stars for a set which shows stark improvement to the 1st part and further light up by the presence of the Agito piece. |
