Kilik
This skilled disciple from the Ling-Sheng Su Temple is also the prime hero of the game;
you can read more about Kilik
here.
It's quite evident that Kilik is based off the legendary Monkey God from
world-renowned Chinese literature, "Journey to the West". Like Jin from
"Tekken 5", Kilik been the main hero has a horrible face sculpt which
looks totally off that dashing appearance he bears/ However what really
attracts me is Kilik is his fantastic fighting stance (which totally
copies Monkey God by the way). Kilik's attire and accessories are
exquisitely done including the emerald pendant, the spiked shoulder
guard, the eagle-head shin guard as well that tattered read cloth tied
to his back featuring a visually-stunning Golden Phoenix. Kilik's staff
is named after the Hindu deity and the several golden bangles he wore
also has a bit of Hindu infleunce. The bonus weapon for this piece is
Armd which is a staff with a few colorful nodules along it which is not
as special as the other bonus weapon, the blue Soul Calibur.

Heishiro Mitsurugi (御剣平四郎)
Mitsurug, the famed samurai hailed from Bizen, Japan had been a staple to the "Soul" series and one
of the 3 characters that had appeared in every incarnation of the game, you can get to know more about him
here.
Loosely based on the legendary famous swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi,
Mitsurugi surely displayed great swordsmanship in the game and he too
displays an intimidating stance with his signature katana, Shishi-Oh
(translated as Lion King, nothing to do with that Disney production).
Once again Mitsu has a terrible facial sculpt with a pair of ugly eyes.
But I really enjoy the way the sculptor is holding nothing back with
giving details to his armor and attire with a nice tiger sewn on the
rear of his bottoms. The shoulder guard is very elegant as well. The
bonus weapon here is an Arabian inspired silver sword known as "Dasmas
Kas Ken" while I would prefer the bonus "Soul Edge" for the Player 2
version.

Cassandra Alexandra
One half of the Alexandra sister (the other being Sophitia) is fighting for her belief in her home in Athens Greece, you
ought to read more about Cassandra
here.
Cassandra is one of the pieces that actually look better in the player 1
version due to the blonde hair. An interesting facial sculpt as we see
her smiling gleefully which makes me wonder what is going through her
mind when she is engaged in a duel. Her attire seems like a cross
between a sailor & a bishop which does not really reflect her background
as a Greek warrior, Nonetheless the sculptor once more put in effort to
show as much details as possible including on her gloves and boots. One defect of the sculpt of this pieces is
that Cassandra tends to lean sideways on her designated base. Her
pink Nemea Shield should be a good fashion accessory for this young "jyousei
(lady" while her right hand had problem gripping any sword tightly. The
bonus weapons of my Player 1 version should be a cool repaint of her
original weapons instead I got the Valkyrie set in the end.

Taki
The skilled ninja cum demon huntress, Taki is yet another staple of the Soul series, thus there is
a comprehensive history about her you can find
here.
Another beautiful piece which truly described Taki the ninja. She
adopted a stance with her kneeling down which shows her nimbleness. The
original headpiece comes with a creepy-looking face-mask and I actually
prefer the unmasked headpiece. The demon style armor guards on her
shoulders and arms are really cool-looking so is the traditional shin
guard. Her pair of short katanas are nicely done here and once more I am
been robbed of the pair of much-desired "Kris Daaga" for bonus weapons
instead of the pair of smoke pipes which made Taki looks some opium
addict.

Tira
Tira, on of the cold-blooded assassin of the evil organisation known as "The Bird of Passage" suffers from bipolar
disorder but you can get a clue of her mysterious background
here.
I had a tinge of disdain over this piece to begin with as this green
clown-like creature kind of creep me out. The face was truly revealing
the malevolent side of her, the pose is really weird and the green
feathers she was donning looks more like leaves. However I do find this
piece wasn't that badly made. The pose despite dubious-looking is much
stable than Cassandra though her left hand is meant to hang her weapon
rather than gripping it in place. I really like the shin guards with the
straps nicely seen as well. Her ring blades like the original Aiselne
Drossel and the bonus 火車 are both elegant weapons.

Voldo
The vassal of the Italian weapon merchant, Vercci has the eternal mission to find the one true weapon he wants to make a fortune out of,
and you can probe more inot this "Soul" staple
here.
This blind killer seems like those type that need no qualms and reason
to slaughter anyone. His pose reminds me a puppet on strings but a
dangerous one for sure. The design of the face and attire sure is
interesting but what caught my eyes is the various matching armor all
around his body which has a strong gothic-Celtic style. The huge lock on
his rear sure makes me wonder if he is actually wearing a chastity belt
of something. His weapon of the Katar types though look similar had
names, Manas & Ayus given to each one. The bonus weapon featured in mine
is a scary-looking Tofana shears.
