Konami

By previous standards, the hype around Konami's booth was a bit subdued. They banged hard on a live-action character, known as "Spector-man" or something which was the only WF exclusive figurine from them. A lot of previews of what trading figures as well as shokugans they would be coming out. 2 of those really caught my eyes. Firstly is the "Mecha Musume Vol.2" & the "Sci-Fi Movie Selection: King Kong -1993-" which was not allowed to have pictures taken. However some renegades still took pictures of that set.

Yujin

Two interesting to note for this Wonder Festival. Firstly there was no booth for Tomy (which had merged with Takara). Secondly there was an allocated booth for Yujin which many would know is a subsidary of Tomy; and they had a strategic location, the first booth in the cental which one would easily notice when they came into D Block. A lot of Binchotan and the carnival diorama made entirely of the SR Binchotan series sure drew a lot of attention.

Tora no ana

Loosely translated as the Tiger's Hole (think it means den), this popular otoku-targetting franchise had an unrivalled selection of doujinshi and appeals more to guys while "animate" has became more of a niche for the girls. They had been producing high quality trading figures as we have known since 2003 and been featured in D Block surely indicating their big player status in Japan's Hobby/toys industry.

Toranoana's booth is perhaps the most vibrant looking one

F Toys Confect/ Happinet Robin; Cospa

Only the custom figures of "Ichigo Mashimarou" girls from Happinet Robin that interest me. They did had an impressive line-up of all 4 sets of "Hakuto no Ken" capsule figures. Nearly bought the Fireman of the World trading figures from F Toys as they were the WF exclusive. I was pretty disappointed with the range of T-shirst available for sale at the COSPA booth this time round.
