My 2nd winter edition of the Wonder Festival is held at the usual location of the Tokyo Big Sight, at the West Wing this time round again. I had the luxury of been bestowed with a dealer pass which warrant me free access without the need of a catalogue and experiencing the excitement and euphoria of getting the exclusives at the very start. It was a total chaos with everyone scurrying around the exhibition halls; some even were unfortunate to collide against each other. But the relentless and never-give-up spirit the Japanese people were that on show...

It was around 4 degrees Celsius at the bay area but the true blue maniacs still strong enough to fight the bitter cold in order to get the limited exclusive figurines. |
The main makers are housed in E Hall this time round. Some of the dealers (mainly figurine sellers) including ourselves were located in the neighboring Hall D which made the mad-rush for the exclusives much easier.

Kenshiro, Raoh & Dark King No. 200 came to welcome you to the Kaiyodo booth |
The above picture was taken by my accomplice in this rowdy
fiasco, Ferris and there would be more pictures in this report that is owed to
his fine shutter capability.
There is a strong
Revoltech theme this time once again as Kaiyodo unleashed their line-up of
Revoltech (including fraulein series) for the next half a year. They will kick off a "Hakuto no Ken" Revoltech series as well
as a Microman-wannabe Assemble-borg. Meanwhile Kaiyodo's main distributor,
Organic continue to release some quality figurines as well
as trading figure series when other brands had slowed down on my favorite miniatures.

As always the Wonder Festival was used to celebrate certain classic series (in this case, the 25th Anniversary of Macross) or clamor & rave of new series such as Gainax's "Tengan Toppa Gurren Lagann" & "Dai Kaiju Battle".
