The likes of myself, the Chong Brothers and Eng Kiong set off from Harumi Grand Hotel where we stayed the night before towards Tokyo Big Sight which is like 10 minutes away via taxi ride. While the astounding hike of the cab fee drew eyebrows the day before, the special Sunday rate was even bewildering as mere minutes into the ride, we had clocked close to 1500¥ and the final fee accumulated to an exorbitant price of 2000¥! But it was well worth it if we could get a good spot in the queue and haul those delectable exclusives. Even with the aid of GPS, our fumbling cab driver could only get us to the start of the bridge near the Palette Town Ferris wheel.

We got a spot which is a bit further than 2005...As you can see my neck could not be moved properly due to the bad sprain while Ferris and Bryan were cozying up in this cold winter morning. |

The cold didn't really hinder the horde of maniac collectors from advancing... |

By 9 plus, everyone got up and reeling to move into the exhibition hall. |

Tokyo Big Sight in sight... |
Approaching the hall (which was set up in the exact same fashion as Wonder Festival Summer 2005), I told the lads that I have no interest with most of the exclusives on show (even the Shion figurine from Kotobukiya with 300 available seems unattainable), I rather strayed off to the open market in Hall C.

The first booth I visited is the Hobby Stock booth in C Hall and managed to grab a couple of nice figurines |

Then the really frail-looking Suzumiya Haruhi at the reception kept enticing me to buy a shoujo bolster which I rejected without thinking twice... |
After a satisfying haul of some sort including queuing up for a couple of Mai-HiME exclusive figurines from CM's, I went on to venture to the main makers in Hall D.

Kicking off the main brands in Hall D will be the organizer of the Wonder Festival... Kaiyodo has an extensive feature on their successful year of Revoltech and introducing a generation 2 to this successful line of action figurine and heading the revolution would be Saber.Meanwhile Organic, distributor to Kaiyodo toys including Mon-sieur BOME collection paid homage to the famous sculptor.

Some find the head a wee bit too big, but this Revoltech version of Saber should looks better to be sculpted by the eyewater guys than Yamashita-san. |

Other characters to be introduced to the Revoltech line include Toro from "Dokodemo Issho" (a dubious choice), Mass produced Eva (winged version) as well as well as Eva F Type as seen below. |

On sale during the show is the latest edition of "Kaiyodo Maniac" which was very misleading with the exclusive figurine they are including which led me and Chan believed to be this super rare Vignette chan figurine but was a clear unwanted vignette instead. |

It is really hard to collect the entire series of Kaiyodo-produced Fate/stay night bust figurines but on this show, we catch a glimpse of the beautiful K&M version coming in April. |

Just nearby is the Griffin Enterprise's booth and the high-end figurine company has a respectable amount of PVC and cold cast figurines on show due to their increased line-up of figurines for sale in recent months.
